Though the team sought its identity in prior years, the Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team found its groove under coach Tom Penders. Incorporating a pro-style running game and pressure defense, the “Runnin’ Horns” earned their nickname through their constant, speedy style of play. We incorporated elements of their 1997 jerseys into this design (a year they made the Sweet Sixteen), including the “Texas” from the front of their uniforms and the “Runnin’ Horns” logo on their shorts.
